KUNDALINI YOGA
Kundalini yoga, or the yoga of awareness, was brought to the West from India by Yogi Bhajan in 1969. Until that time it had been passed on only as arcane knowledge from master to pupil in temples and monasteries of India, Nepal, and Tibet. Now it is taught almost all over the world. By means of special sets of asanas (kriyas), pranayama, mantras, and meditation, the glandular and nervous systems are stimulated, increasing our creative ability, awakening our life force, balancing out the negative effects of stress, and helping us to discover our hidden potential.
In the words of Yogi Bhajan, ‘Kundalini yoga classes are a dynamic blend of postures, pranayama, mantra, music and meditation, which teach the art of relaxation, self-healing and elevation. Balancing body and mind enables you to experience the clarity and beauty of your soul. No previous experience in yoga is required for you to achieve results with your very first class’.
Courses in Kundalini yoga at YogaMe are open both to beginners who have never practised yoga and to experienced practitioners of other kinds of yoga.
